Job summary

The Harley Street Clinic is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a high‑caliber GI service across LOC, HCA at UCH and The Harley Street Clinic. You will provide expert clinical guidance, emotional support and care coordination for patients from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.

• Current NMC registration and ongoing professional development.
• Experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in GI, oncology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a specialist caseload from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.
• Act as key worker and advocate ensuring personalised, seamless care.
• Deliver specialist clinical advice, education and emotional support.
• Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary team to coordinate complex pathways.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and education initiatives.
• Coordinate care across LOC, UCH and The Harley Street Clinic.

Location: HCA at UCH, with support across Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) and The Harley Street Clinic

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary role until 1 October 2027

Caring for patients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives takes expertise, compassion and consistency. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist at HCA, you'll play a vital role in delivering all three.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded GI service where you'll become a trusted point of contact for patients throughout their diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care. Working alongside leading consultants and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll provide expert clinical guidance, emotional support and care coordination, helping patients and their families navigate complex treatment pathways with confidence.

This is a cross-site role, providing specialist GI support across Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), HCA at UCH and The Harley Street Clinic. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across all three services, ensuring patients experience seamless, high-quality care throughout their journey while benefiting from exposure to a broad range of specialist treatments, technologies and care pathways.

You’ll have the opportunity to care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions and cancer diagnoses, while working closely with experienced multidisciplinary teams committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Manage and coordinate a specialist caseload, supporting patients from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care.
• Act as a key worker and advocate, ensuring patients receive personalised, seamless care throughout their journey.
• Deliver specialist clinical advice, education and emotional support to patients and those important to them.
• Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate complex care pathways.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audit and education initiatives across the service.
• Work collaboratively across Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), HCA at UCH and The Harley Street Clinic, coordinating care and supporting multidisciplinary decision making.

What You'll Bring

• Current NMC registration.
• Experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, or significant experience within a relevant GI, oncology or specialist nursing environment.
• Experience supporting patients with complex care needs and coordinating multidisciplinary care pathways.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
