Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton is seeking a Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead professional care for patients with breast cancer, including those on treatment and in the cancer pathway. You will work within an established team and may receive support to develop if you lack specialist experience.

You will liaise with ANPs, medical and research nursing teams to deliver an integrated service, and deliver teaching to staff and students as required.

Qualifications

  • Nurse with experience in breast oncology or as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in cancer pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and clinical leadership in care of patients with breast cancer.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a synchronized specialist service.
  • Deliver informal and formal teaching, e.g. academic courses from the School of Nursing.
  • Act as a resource to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic nurse to join our established, friendly and supportive team of Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist in Sutton.

The post will focus on the holistic care of patients with primary and secondary breast cancer. If you have experience nursing breast oncology patients on treatment or clinical nurse specialist experience in the cancer pathway setting this post will be an excellent opportunity for you. The successful candidate will join an established friendly team of nurses who work closely with ANP's, the medical and research nursing teams. However, if you have not got the experience and skills as a specialist nurse, we are able to offer support to develop, and this may be reflected in the banding. Please call us for more information

  • To provide professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the care of the patient with lung cancers, acting as a resource to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff.
  • To take responsibility for own evidence-based practice and implement into the body of knowledge that supports nursing practice within
