Job description
The Team


  • The THS is working collaboratively with Family Planning Tasmania and Primary Health Tasmania to identify targeted measures, including additional clinics, and develop a plan to enhance the effectiveness of existing services and boost the awareness, diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis across the public health system in Tasmania.

  • The Endometriosis Initiative is a commitment of $1.2 million by the Tasmanian Government.


The Role


  • The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Endometriosis Initiative reports to and works under the direction of the Project Lead, Endometriosis Initiative.

  • Provides clinical leadership in the development of action plans, clinical pathways, project plans, submissions, minutes and documentation relevant to the outputs of the Endometriosis Initiative.

  • The role will include but not be limited to facilitating education and professional development opportunities.

  • Provides authoritative advice at Advisory Group meetings to support patient care specific to the Endometriosis Initiative.


Skills and requirements


  • Recent Post Graduate experience in Gynaecology is desirable.

  • Knowledge and skills in project and change management, including engaging key stakeholders.

  • Current Driver’s License.

  • The CNC’s area of responsibility will be reflected in the RASCI (Project Management Matrix) and Tasmanian Health Service delegation schedule.

  • The CNC will be responsible for managing relationships with external stakeholders.

Details of appointment

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2027.


*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.


Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.


Position Features

This position may require intra and interstate travel.


Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.



  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.


In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:



  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
