Job summary

PST Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support teams across Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands on an interim basis. You will deliver clinical training and assess the competency of HCAs and SWs to ensure safe, competent delivery of delegated clinical tasks.

The role involves paediatric and adult services, with travel between services and a competitive hourly rate. Interim assignment expected for 2–3 months with weekly pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience across paediatric and adult care.
• Confident delivering clinical training and undertaking competency assessments.
• Experience supporting HCAs and SWs with delegated clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical training and support to HCAs and Support Workers.
• Undertake clinical competency assessments and sign off delegated clinical tasks where appropriate.
• Ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver safe, high-quality care.
• Support teams working with both paediatric and adult service users.
• Travel to services across Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands as required.
• Promote safe clinical practice and ensure care is delivered in line with relevant policies and procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and clinically confident Registered Nurse to support our teams across Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands on an interim basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical training and assessing the competency of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and Support Workers (SWs), ensuring they are safe and competent to undertake delegated clinical tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with strong clinical skills who enjoys supporting, training and developing care staff across both paediatric and adult services.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Is a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Has relevant experience across paediatric and adult care.
• Is confident delivering clinical training and undertaking competency assessments.
• Has experience supporting HCAs and Support Workers with delegated clinical tasks.
• Is confident working independently across multiple care settings.
• Ideally lives within the Midlands and is willing to travel between services.
