Clinical Negligence Solicitor (NQ – 5 Years PQE)

Location: Liverpool or Bolton

Salary: £45,000 DOE + Benefits

Puro Associates are proud to be supporting a nationally recognised law firm with an excellent reputation for claimant litigation. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their established and successful team in either Liverpool or Bolton.

This opportunity is ideal for a solicitor from newly qualified up to around 5 years’ PQE who is passionate about achieving justice for clients and developing their career within a progressive, supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You'll be joining a dedicated and highly skilled team handling a wide range of medical negligence matters. From the outset, you'll have responsibility for your own caseload (tailored to your level of experience), while benefitting from close supervision, ongoing mentoring, and access to exceptional resources.

The team deals with varied and often complex claims arising from medical errors, misdiagnosis, surgical mistakes, and delayed treatment. You'll play a key role in investigating cases, securing vital expert evidence, and achieving the best possible outcomes for your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a caseload of clinical negligence claims from initial instruction to settlement or trial
  • Review and analyse medical records, commission expert evidence, and assess breach and causation
  • Provide clear, empathetic, and practical advice to clients throughout the litigation process
  • Draft key documents including letters of claim, witness statements, and schedules of loss
  • Negotiate effectively with defendant representatives to secure fair and timely settlements
  • Attend conferences, mediations, and hearings as requiredMaintain meticulous file management in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to team discussions, case strategy, and departmental growth initiatives
