Clinical Negligence Legal Assistant

A leading and progressive law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its highly respected Clinical Negligence Department, based in Shrewsbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in the legal sector, providing crucial administrative and case support to a specialist team handling complex and sensitive clinical negligence claims.

The Role

You will work closely with lawyers, offering both administrative and legal support on a range of cases. Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with existing clients and new enquiries
  • Taking initial claim information and assisting with the preparation of case files
  • Drafting and organising documents, correspondence and case materials
  • Managing administrative duties efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
  • Supporting the team with day-to-day case management under supervision

Requirements
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills (Microsoft Word proficiency essential)

  • Previous legal experience is advantageous but not essential - full training will be provided
