Job summary

Hill Dickinson seeks a qualified Solicitor (3–9 PQE) to join its Health Litigation team in Liverpool, with the option to work remotely. The role focuses on defending clinical negligence claims for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and related clients.

You will manage a caseload, draft opinions and witness statements, and coordinate with experts and Counsel. The position offers remote working alongside office attendance and opportunities to develop within a leading care-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 3–9 years PQE in a clinical negligence or NHS-focused environment.
• Experience of NHS Resolution Panel firm or MDO is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to develop knowledge in EN Scheme and maternity-related claims.

Responsibilities

• Run a caseload of clinical negligence files.
• Analyse evidence and organise investigations.
• Draft reports and witness statements; interview witnesses.
• Instruct experts and Counsel; attend Court for MCCs and hearings.
• Negotiate settlements; attend trials and ADR; supervise colleagues.
