Job summary

Anchor Point Neurological Centre in Southampton is seeking a Clinical Lead to support the Centre Manager in delivering safe, high-quality care. You will contribute to daily operations, clinical governance, and patient-centred care across a specialist neurological setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor standards, develop care plans, and drive quality improvement while supporting regulatory compliance and staff development.

Qualifications

• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult) required.
• Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in care or neuro settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cognitive, behavioural, or physical rehabilitation approaches.
• Compassion, professionalism and commitment to high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Support Centre Manager to ensure efficient operation and high standards of care.
• Promote safe clinical practice; monitor audits, policies and compliance action plans.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of inspections actions.

£56,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.

Hours: 42.75 hours per week.

Shift type: Days, Nights & Weekends.

About Anchor Point Neurological Centre

Anchor Point Neurological Centre is a purpose-built specialist neurological care and rehabilitation centre in Nursling, Southampton. Supporting adults with complex neurological conditions and injuries, the centre provides personalised rehabilitation and long-term neurological care focused on promoting independence and quality of life. With modern facilities, dedicated therapy spaces, a physiotherapy gym and a supportive environment, colleagues work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team to make a meaningful difference to the people we support.

Role Overview

As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the Centre Manager to ensure the service operates efficiently, effectively, and delivers the highest standards of care. You will assist with the day-to-day management of the service, helping to maintain a safe, responsive, and well-led environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Working closely with the Centre Manager and Quality Assurance team, you will promote safe clinical practice across the service. This will include monitoring standards through audits and observations, reviewing policies and procedures, implementing improvement action plans, and producing reports and data to support quality and compliance objectives.

You will support the ongoing monitoring of compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including the Health and Social Care Act and CQC standards, ensuring that any recommendations or actions arising from inspections are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.

The role also involves undertaking comprehensive assessments, developing person-centred care plans, and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance, support, education, and reassurance to ensure an outstanding experience and quality of care for all.

What We Are Looking For

• NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing)
• Minimum 5 years' post registration experience of delivering care to individuals with complex health needs within a similar setting (care or neuro)
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning and communication skills
• Knowledge of cognitive, behavioural, or physical rehabilitation approaches
• Compassion, professionalism and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
