Lynwood Care Centre is a warm, purpose-built nursing home delivering 24-hour care for older adults. The role involves managing the unit during the day, developing the care team's skills, and upholding high standards of nursing care in line with the NMC code and CQC standards.

The successful candidate will supervise induction, mentor student nurses, and ensure staff performance aligns with outstanding care. A commitment to person-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• NMC code of professional conduct familiarity.
• Experience in leading a care team.
• Experience in a nursing home or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to mentor and assess student nurses and new staff.

About Our Home:

Lynwood Care Centre is a warm and welcoming purpose-built nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment and 24-hour care and support for older adults. Our home is divided into several smaller ‘houses,’ where our staff really get know their residents, allowing for a more personalised approach to the care we provide.

What does the role involve?

• To carry responsibility for the management of the unit during the day.
• Develop and manage the skills of the care team.
• To promote and maintain a high standard of nursing care.
• To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff.
• To work within the NMC code of professional conduct and CQC standards as well as following internal policies and procedures.
• Planning, directing and delivery of high-quality person-centered care.
• To undertake staff reviews and team meetings.
• To monitor the quality of care offered.
• To evaluate employee performance, monitoring nurses closely to ensure they fulfil their job duties and provide only the best care
