The ideal candidate will have laboratory-based experience, a degree in Biochemistry or a life science, and the ability to work both days and nights. The role includes responsibilities like routine clinical testing, maintenance of analytical records, and adherence to quality control procedures. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year laboratory-based experience as Scientist or a Lab Analyst.
  • Qualified to at least degree level in Biochemistry or a life science.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to undertake both days and night shift patterns.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Routine use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs).
  • Performance of various analytical procedures including manual screening and automated methods.
  • Preparation and handling of samples and diagnostic reagents.
  • Operation of various automated analytical systems.
  • Maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.
  • Completion of necessary Quality Control checks.
