Job Summary

37.5 hours per week

PLEASE NOTE: - This is not a post within an IT Technical Team.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Information Systems Transformation Officer to join our progressive IT department. Working within the Clinical Information Systems (CIS) Team, you will play a key role in supporting and managing the Trust's core clinical systems, including SystmOne. You will work closely with other IT teams, specialty staff, and front‑line users to deliver system changes, enhancements, and ongoing support.

At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. For this reason, we are unable to sponsor anyone for a skilled worker visa for this role.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Lead and implement clinical system changes and enhancements, particularly within SystmOne.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to system users across the Trust.
  • Work collaboratively with IT colleagues and clinical staff to ensure systems meet operational needs.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and technical support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical information systems.
  • Deliver detailed training sessions on the use of clinical systems through a blended learning approach, developing e‑learning packages, training videos, and training scripts.
  • Plan and deliver end‑user training, including data quality, business continuity, information governance, and information reporting considerations.
Qualifications and Essential Experience
  • HND/Degree level in Training/Development or equivalent experience.
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths and English.
  • Formal training qualification or work towards one to be achieved within 1 year.
  • Microsoft Office to an advanced level.
  • Experience of using clinical information systems across a variety of healthcare settings, particularly in Mental Health & Community Services.
  • Understanding of clinical service requirements, data standards, and clinical terms within NHS systems.
  • Experience of planning, scheduling, and delivering end‑user training packages.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of formal IT training delivery.
  • Understanding of change management and business process redesign principles.
  • Experience of training staff in e‑learning or blended learning approaches.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or other project management qualification.
  • Change Management qualification.
  • Training/Development accreditation related to clinical information systems.
  • Experience of delivering IT/Clinical information systems training across multiple health and social care settings.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems for training administration and scheduling.
  • Experience of training in eReferral Services (formerly Choose & Book).
  • Awareness of NHS IM&T Strategic priorities and Training needs.
