Overview

Applications are invited for Junior Clinical Fellow rotational posts in Paediatrics at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital. Six‑month posts start February/March 2026 or August/September 2026, with the option to extend for longer rotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work clinical shifts on a full‑shift system in the allocated specialty.
  • Provide high‑dependency and paediatric emergency care as required.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, teaching, audit, research and departmental management.
  • For education posts: dedicate 40 % of time to medical education, join the Education Fellow team, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Engage in protected teaching sessions, simulation, and specialist workshops.
  • Fill in for out‑of‑hours cover on the paediatric A&E department (band 1A) where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Eligible ST1‑ST3 or FY2‑ST3 junior doctors with paediatric experience.
  • Desirable: previous paediatric experience, surgical interest (ENT, orthopaedics, general surgery) or neurology.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK NHS.
  • For surgical posts: Junior Clinical Fellow (Trust Doctor) specialisms in ENT or orthopaedics.
  • Must commit to a 12‑month education role where applicable.
