Job summary

A healthcare institution in Poole is seeking a Trust Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics. This permanent position requires candidates to have a GMC recognized Medical degree and experience in trauma care. Responsibilities include flexible work hours and participation in the general on-call rota. This role offers opportunities to train alongside consultant surgeons in elective operations. Trust Clinical Fellow, Trauma and Orthopaedics (MT04)

University Hospitals Dorset Foundation Trust is currently seeking to appoint a Trust Clinical Fellow, (MT04) in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Trust Clinical Fellow which is offered on a permanent basis.

Qualifications
  • GMC recognised Medical degree.
  • Experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
  • Proven experience of on call and ward cover.
Responsibilities
  • The applicant should be able to work flexibly and to act on own initiative and to support junior staff members.
  • In order to deliver this level of service applicants should have proven experience of on call and ward cover.
  • The position is working at Trust Clinical Fellow level as part of the general on-call rota and depending on area of interest the applicant could be offered the potential to spend time working and training with the consultants in elective operations and surgical clinics.

The department currently has 22 Consultant surgeons, 12 are Trauma Consultants who provide emergency on call services for the Trust.
