Job summary

A UK health service provider is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Respiratory Medicine to enhance high-quality respiratory services.   • Undertake advanced procedures, including Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Thoracic Ultrasound, and Pleural Interventions.
  • Triage and review Lung Cancer referrals and contribute to diagnostic pathways.
  • Participate in the Lung Cancer MDT contributing to evidence-based treatment planning.
  • Report and interpret Respiratory Sleep Studies and Pulmonary Function Tests.
  • Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervise junior medical staff.

Senior Clinical Fellow – Respiratory Medicine

Contribute to the delivery of high‑quality respiratory services across outpatient and procedural domains. The role involves participation in specialist clinics, interventional procedures, multidisciplinary meetings, and service development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and support comprehensive respiratory care, focusing on Lung Cancer, Sleep Medicine, and Ventilatory Support.
  • Undertake advanced procedures, including Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Thoracic Ultrasound, and Pleural Interventions, with appropriate supervision.
  • Triage and review Lung Cancer referrals and contribute to diagnostic and management pathways.
  • Actively participate in the Lung Cancer MDT, contributing to evidence‑based treatment planning.
  • Report and interpret Respiratory Sleep Studies and Pulmonary Function Tests under consultant supervision.
  • Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervise junior medical staff and students.
Location & Work Details

Department: Respiratory Medicine
Location: King George Hospital
Responsible to: Consultant in Respiratory Medicine / Clinical Lead for Lung Cancer and Sleep Medicine
Contract: Fixed‑term for 12 months (renewable subject to mutual agreement)
Salary: Equivalent to NHS Specialty Registrar (ST3–ST7) / Senior Clinical Fellow scale
