A major teaching hospital in Leeds is seeking a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Stem Cell Transplant. The role involves ward rounds, patient care, and participation in clinics. Ideal candidates will have experience in pediatric oncology and a relevant medical qualification. Thisis an exciting opportunity to build on existing experience in paediatric stemcell transplant and leukaemia. We areseeking an enthusiastic individual with appropriate training to join ourdedicated team. This is new post based at the Leeds Childrens Hospital atthe Leeds General Infirmary in the heart of the city. Specialty Doctors arean integral part of our Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Department. Some of our Specialty Doctors have beenwith us for over ten years, while others have used the experience gainedthrough working in the post as a stepping stone to a consultant post. Theemphasis of the role is the in-patient and out-patient care of patientspaediatric haematology patients, especially those undergoing stem celltransplantation for leukaemia and haemoglobinopathy.

Thepost holder is required to be fully registered with the General MedicalCouncil (GMC) and hold a licence to practice.
Youare required to work to the standards set out by the General Medical Councilin Good Medical Practice. Thisincludes protecting patients when you believe that a doctors or othercolleagues conduct, performance or health is a threat to them. If, after establishing the facts, it isnecessary, you must follow the Trusts procedures in this matter and informyour Clinical Director or Medical Director in the first instance.
TheTrust has a set of expected behaviours for all employees and additionalbehaviours and skills that are expected of managers and supervisors.
Allleave should be applied for in accordance with the Trusts Leave Policy,normally giving six weeks notice of any leave, other than in exceptionalcircumstances.
Thejobholder must take responsibility in agreement with his/her line manager forhis/her own personal development by ensuring that Continuous ProfessionalDevelopment remains a priority. Thejobholder will undertake all mandatory training required for the role.
