A leading healthcare institution is seeking a Fellow in Paediatric Haematology to manage patients undergoing various treatments. The role offers significant experience in clinical procedures and leadership within a dynamic environment. Eligible candidates include post-CCT trainees or those near completion of MRCPCH. Competitive salary of £44,170 - £67,610 plus benefits. Flexible working options available.
The post is based in the West London Children's Healthcare, Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant Unit at St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College, which is a leading centre for blood and marrow transplantation and gene therapy in non‑malignant haematological disorders. The Trust Fellowship provides exposure to all aspects of paediatric haematology and transplantation while allowing significant time for the applicant to gain experience in performing clinical procedures, audits, and to gain leadership experience according to the applicant's needs. The post will be for one year, but may be extended for a further year.
The fellowship is suitable for post‑CCT haematology or paediatric trainees or paediatric/haematology trainees in the earlier stages of their training (who have, or are near to, completing MRCPCH or equivalent), who are looking to gain expertise in paediatric haematology alongside gaining experience in a related aspect such as research, procedures or management.
The post-holder will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of all paediatric haematology patients, including those undergoing a stem cell transplant and their donors, gene therapy patients, complex haemoglobinopathy patients, patients with bone marrow failure, shared care oncology patients, and patients with immune cytopenias.
The post-holder will share in the day‑to‑day management of all paediatric haematology inpatients and day‑care review patients, performing procedures such as bone marrow examination and bone marrow harvests (after training and with supervision). This post does not offer specific laboratory haematology training but appointees who have an interest in haematology are actively encouraged to attend laboratory meetings, weekly morphology teaching and courses.

Depending on experience £44,170 - £67,610 per annum plus London Weighting +1B banding.
