A regional neuroscience centre in the UK seeks a qualified physician for a 12-month fixed-term position in Neurology. This role involves leading ward rounds, supervising junior doctors, and providing high-quality care for neurological conditions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, rapidly changing neurology service in a regional neuroscience centre, based in a diverse and attractive city. Your role will be key in delivering high quality, accessible care for people with acute and long-term neurological illness.
This post includes a requirement for out of hours working, providing middle‑grade cover for Neurology and Stroke (including Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy).
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term post.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to gain ST3 level and above experience within the rapidly changing field of Neurology medicine at NBT, a busy tertiary neuroscience centre. As part of a consultant‑led team you will see a wide range of cases. We have excellent neuroradiology at NBT and in addition to daily informal interaction have a weekly meeting to review cases. You'll be expected to lead a team of junior doctors (CT/IM/F1/F2) on ward rounds and supervise them on the ward and in ED. We also participate in our own research as well as recruiting for national trials. There are always projects that you can get involved in, or start developing your own ideas. There will be the opportunity to rotate to sub‑specialist areas of stroke neurology and general neurology depending on other registrar numbers.
