Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking candidates for a 12-month Gynaecology Fellowship, starting April 2026. This fellowship offers experience in diagnosing and managing early pregnancy and gynaecological issues, as well as developing skills in ultrasound. Job description
Overview

Applications are invited for a 12‑month Fellowship in the Gynaecology Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Unit at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing, University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post is available from April 2026, with interviews held week commencing 8 December 2025 (date to be confirmed). It is designed for candidates at ST3 level and above who seek comprehensive experience in the diagnosis and management of early pregnancy and acute gynaecological problems, and high‑level skills in gynaecological ultrasound. Candidates may also work towards the RCOG Special Interest Training Module in Complex Early Pregnancy and Non‑elective Gynaecology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run elective and emergency gynaecological outpatient clinics.
  • Provide training in gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound.
  • Perform outpatient surgical procedures, including miscarriage management under local anaesthetic (MVA) and outpatient hysteroscopy.
  • Participate in the academic work of the department.
  • Cover the weekend rota (daytime Saturday and Sunday) for the Early Pregnancy Unit and Urgent Gynaecology.
  • See and assess patients in early pregnancy, acute gynaecology, suspected gynaecological cancer, general gynaecology and endometriosis clinics, using ultrasound assessment as required.
