A leading NHS teaching trust in Oxford seeks a Fellow in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia. The role includes supporting the resident anaesthetic rota and providing dedicated teaching time. Candidates must have a GMC Full Licence to Practice and strong communication skills. The position allows for personalized learning opportunities and is subject to background checks.
Prospective cover non‑resident on calls, occasional resident shifts to support the resident anaesthetic rota. Dedicated teaching time will be allocated to developing expertise in: Echocardiography; Anaesthesia for cardiothoracic surgical procedures; Anaesthesia for interventional cardiology procedures; Critical Care. The post holder may have the opportunity to supplement/replace their Cardiothoracic anaesthesia sessions with other specialities based on their learning objectives and wishes. The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020, therefore a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
