A leading UK's healthcare provider is seeking a Fellow for a 1-year clinical Fellowship in Otology, Neurotology / Adult Skull Base surgery at Aintree Hospitals. Candidates nearing the end of surgical training with FRCS ORL-HNS are encouraged to apply. Qualifications

  • Participate in research and audit activities using clinical outcome data.
  • Attend bi-weekly skull base MDT in a video conference linked room.
  • Participate in specialist NF2 MDTs held six monthly.

Aintree Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a fellow to the Directorate of ENT. One post is available: a 1‑year clinical Fellowship in Otology, Neurotology / Adult Skull Base surgery commencing 5th August 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Work at the Aintree site as a member of the ENT Directorate.
  • Provide on‑call commitments of 1:9 prospective night and day‑time cover.
  • Assist in the organisation and running of the yearly otology and temporal bone dissection course.
  • Participate in research and audit activities using the department's clinical outcome data.
  • Attend a bi‑weekly skull base MDT in a video‑conference linked MDT room.
  • Participate in specialist NF2 MDTs held six monthly.
Qualifications
  • Candidates approaching the end of higher surgical training with the FRCS ORL‑HNS or equivalent, or post‑CCT.
  • Completed at least ST7 or equivalent higher surgical training in Otolaryngology.
  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council.
