A regional healthcare provider in Bristol is looking for a candidate for a role in Emergency Medicine. The position offers 24-hour support from senior staff and entails participating in a 24-hour rota, managing acute presentations, and engaging in departmental projects. Full GMC Registration and familiarity with UK hospital systems are essential. The role offers a salary range of £52,656 to £65,048 per annum plus supplements.
This role participates in the 24‑hour rota, and is suitable for candidates either working at SHO/ST1‑2 level or at ST3+ level – appropriate candidates of both grades will be considered. The post benefits from 24‑hour support from senior (ST4+) staff. It provides exposure and experience in acute presentations to the ED with rotations through all areas of the department; it is ideal for any candidate planning a career within Emergency Medicine or any acute speciality. It is also suitable for those wishing to pursue a career within General Practice.
Non Clinical 20%.
The post includes 20% of non‑clinical time. You will be asked to join one of our "teams" working on different projects within the department.
Full Registration with the GMC is essential. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.
The Emergency Medicine part of the post is based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a regional Major Trauma Centre and a specialist Stroke, Vascular Surgery, Urology and Transplant centre.
£52,656 to £65,048 a year per annum (pro rata) plus supplements.
