Job summary

NHS North East London Integrated Care Board is seeking a Clinical Director of Proactive Care (Urgent and Emergency Care) to provide high-level clinical leadership and drive improvements across urgent and emergency care pathways in north east London.

The postholder will support the Chief Clinical and Quality Commissioning Officer and chair key programmes and committees to deliver transformation at system level.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior clinical leadership at system level.
• Experience delivering large-scale projects with substantial budgets.
• Significant experience in clinical commissioning and working with senior colleagues to deliver plans.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale pathway transformation programmes.
• Experience working with regional and national NHS colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to NHS NEL's Chief Clinical and Quality Commissioning Officer.
• Lead and chair key programmes and committees as required.
• Develop and implement improvements across urgent and emergency care pathways.
• Ensure robust clinical consultation and engagement with stakeholders.
• Support system leadership across place, organisations and networks.
