Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is looking for an information analyst to assist in creating, developing and delivering high-quality clinical information. You will work in the Clinical Audit & Research Unit, handling data from multiple sources, performing queries, and generating timely reports to support patient care.

The role requires experience in data analysis, proficiency with Excel/Access, and knowledge of data governance and CPIs.

Qualifications

Experience of data analysis and associated software e.g. MS Excel, MS Access.
Ability to present highly complex information verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of Caldicott Guidelines and Data Protection Legislation.

Responsibilities

Assist with all aspects of information work within the Clinical Audit & Research Unit.
Assist in management and analysis of complex datasets using spreadsheets, databases and other software tools.
Prepare data from a range of sources and formats.
Carry out checks for data quality and consistency and resolve discrepancies.
Validate clinical information in line with procedures.
Run and disseminate regular activity and performance reports.
Ensure timely high-quality reports within deadlines.
Assist in statutory and routine reporting where required.
Utilise SPC and QI methodologies to monitor and improve patient care.
