Job summary

IQVIA in the United Kingdom is hiring a Data Acquisition Specialist to define, set up and ingest External Data Streams for clinical trials. You will work with central labs, ECG, EHR, wearables and other digital sources, ensuring alignment with protocol requirements.

You will liaise with data stakeholders, develop tsDTA documents, support data transfer, mapping, UAT, and data availability. The role demands a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in clinical data management, with SDTM and GCP/ICH

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (Safety Lab, PK, ECG, etc.).
• Experience with external data providers in clinical study settings.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Experience in diverse, cross-functional, multi-regional teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Plan external data stream setup to meet study start-up timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure per protocol.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific tsDTA documenting requirements and methods.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs.
• Coordinate with external data providers on tsDTA alignment.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers against Data Transfer Agreements.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into CDR with external provider access.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve issues.
