A prestigious educational institution in Nottingham seeks a Clinical Curriculum Fellow to support undergraduate medicine course delivery. The role involves curriculum development, teaching clinical skills, and training educators within NHS Trusts. The ideal candidate will have an MBBS, completed UK Foundation training, and be GMC registered. The University of Nottingham School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Curriculum Fellow to support the delivery of the clinical components across the undergraduate medicine course and to help develop a new medical curriculum scheduled to launch in 2026.
You will work alongside colleagues from the School of Medicine Education Centre to develop and support the delivery of centralised teaching resources for the clinical components of the medicine curriculum. You will engage in teaching knowledge and clinical skills to medical students both on campus and during placements.
You will also assist faculty staff in training educators within NHS Trusts and support the professional services team in administering the BMBS Medicine Course. The role offers an opportunity to gain experience and training in medical education, including curriculum development, assessment, and student support.
You should have an MBBS or equivalent, completed UK Foundation training (or equivalent) and be GMC registered with a license to practice.
You should be able to design and deliver high‑quality, up‑to‑date course materials, using a range of delivery techniques and technologies that inspire and engage students.
You should possess strong oral and written communication skills, including clarity on complex concepts for audiences with varying levels of understanding, as well as high‑level media skills.
You should demonstrate analytical capability to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation, and creativity; ability to build relationships, collaborate, engage and retain student enthusiasm; assess and organise resources effectively; and work cooperatively with others, demonstrating appropriate leadership.
You should have an understanding of key concepts in undergraduate and postgraduate education, experience in an educational setting, knowledge of teaching methods, and practical application of teaching skills and techniques.
