Job summary
Mindplace Harrogate is seeking a Clinical Counselling Psychologist (face to face) on a permanent part-time basis, 2 days per week. Location: Harrogate, HG1 1JG. Sessions run Monday to Friday with early morning and evening slots, plus weekend coverage.
You will provide assessments, formulations and a range of delivery models, work within insurance guidelines, and collaborate with the therapy team. Essential qualifications include a CPsych Doctorate and HCPC registration; generous benefits include
Qualifications
- Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
- HCPC registration as a Chartered Psychologist.
- General adult mental health experience.
- At least 1 year post-qualification clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
- Offer face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations as needed.
- Adhere to case management processes and collaborate with clinical leads.
- Work within sessional limits based on insurance allowances.
- Provide signposting or onward referrals.
- Offer wellbeing support and coaching.
- Conduct one-off assessments and referrals.
- Deliver group psychoeducation and mental health awareness sessions remotely.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and policies.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
- Collaborate to improve client and employee experiences.

As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you’ll use your training and education to support our customers by providing education on how to live longer, healthier, happier lives. You’ll spend the majority of your time with our customers, doing what you do best.
- Provide high-quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes.
- Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence-based intervention.
- Offer different models of service delivery: face-to-face, telephone, or video consultations.
- Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the therapy team.
- Work within sessional limits based on the client’s Private Medical Insurance allowance.
- Provide signposting or onward referrals as needed.
- Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support and coaching.
- Conduct one-off assessments and referral recommendations.
- Provide group psychoeducation and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa’s service policies.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings.
- Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences.
- Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
- General adult mental health experience.
- At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
- Training and accreditation in specialized areas of psychological relevance.
- Corporate experience.

- Up-to-date CPD.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems.
