Job summary

A healthcare organization is looking for a registered Clinical Psychologist to join their Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team in Dewsbury, England. Qualifications

Role Overview

The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team. You will work in Huddersfield, covering the local area, and may need to travel across the Trust’s footprint on an ad‑hoc basis as we provide a trust‑wide service to help manage capacity and demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for women experiencing complex mental health issues during pregnancy and the first two years postnatally, alongside their babies and families.
  • Deliver clinical supervision to multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Work with and manage risk in relation to both mother and baby.
  • Assist with service delivery Monday‑Friday 9.00am‑5.00pm, with flexibility for occasional extended hours as required.
Key Requirements
  • HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or Senior CBT Therapist.
  • Additional training in at least one other modality such as EMDR.
  • Experience with parent‑infant relationships, couples/families or groups is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to provide and receive supervision.
  • Car driver essential.
Additional Information

Recruitment will be at band 7 or 8a depending on experience, with support from a Principle Clinical Psychologist and specialist supervision. We offer preceptorship for those wishing to develop expertise in the perinatal field, and opportunities to undertake further training in specialist interventions or therapies.
