A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Band 4 Clinical Coder to join its team in Coventry. The role involves abstracting patient information, assigning codes in compliance with national standards, and supporting junior staff members. Ideal candidates are required to have completed the NHS Clinical Coding Foundation Course and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining coding expertise. The Trust offers a dynamic environment and values diversity among its staff.
To undertake the role of a Clinical Coder to clinical groups or specialties as appropriate, abstracting from patient notes and other information sources and assigning suitable codes onto the Trust’s patient administration system in line with National standards. Attend training sessions as necessary and work to maintain allocated reference manuals and standards manuals so that they are always up to date with national guidance.
We are recruiting and Band 4 Clinical Coders who have completed the NHS Clinical Coding Foundation Course.

Please note that only the Band 4 role is subject to the R&R Premium (subject to renewal in December 2026). This will be applied upon commencement of the role. This will be included in the salary package from the start of employment.
