Job summary

Dacorum Borough Council is seeking a Climate Action Network Coordinator to lead the DCAN initiative, a community-led network for local climate action. Hybrid role based from The Forum, Hemel Hempstead, with at least two days a week on site and attendance at community events.

The role focuses on engagement, communications, events and showcasing climate projects, with reporting to senior management and councillors. Driving licence and UK DBS check are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, growth, embedding and mobilisation of DCAN into a self-sustaining community network.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of engagement activities, communications and partnerships.
• Support delivery of the Council’s CEE Strategy through external engagement and promotion of community-led climate action.
• Produce reports and present findings to senior management and councillors; attend meetings and write reports as required.
• Lead on communication activities relating to the Council's climate and ecological emergency efforts.
