Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a seasoned Project Programme and Commercial Manager to lead client-side delivery across multiple infrastructure projects in the UK. You will ensure on-time delivery, financial control, and governance compliance while embedding sustainable practices and strong health and safety standards.

The role requires delivery experience across water, environment and related sectors, with NEC contract exposure and a proactive, collaborative leadership style.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or project management.
• Relevant professional qualification (APM) preferred.
• Full membership or working towards membership of a chartered body (MAPM/MCIWEM/MICE/MCIOB/MRICS).
• Project management experience across multiple disciplines with contract/procurement exposure.
• Experience delivering projects in Water and Environment sectors.
• Excellent written and oral communication; NEC contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client-side projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Embed sustainability principles and ensure health, safety and wellbeing across the project.
• Manage change control, interfaces with supply chain and procurement, and governance reporting.
• Coordinate design solutions, construction and commissioning per NEC or similar contracts.
• Maintain proactive stakeholder engagement and clear objective setting.
• Lead the project programme with multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth close-out.
