Job summary

TC Group in Peterborough is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of accountancy clients. You will work with internal teams to understand client needs, identify growth opportunities and support retention.

The role demands strong client-facing skills and technical accounting knowledge. Applicants should have ACCA/ACA qualifications, 3+ years’ practice experience and proficiency in Sage/Xero.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practice experience within accountancy/clients.
• ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent.
• Proficient with Sage and Xero; experience with CCH is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills including vlookup, sumif and Pivot Tables.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Client facing role with proactive communication and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Review year end accounts, corporation and personal tax and VAT returns.
• Assist clients with general advice and software questions.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, plan workflows, monitor WIP and billing.
• Brief team on assignments and ensure plans are understood.
• Oversee junior team members and sign off on files within budget.
• Strengthen existing client relationships and pursue opportunities for growth.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices.
• Assist in winning new clients.
