Accountable Recruitment's client, a growing Accountancy Practice in St Helens, is hiring a Client Manager to oversee a portfolio of SME clients, delivering high-quality accounts and tax work while mentoring junior staff.

You will act as the main contact for client queries by phone, email, and meetings, ensuring timely delivery of statutory accounts and tax returns, with clear progression opportunities in a people-focused environment.

Formación

• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and business tax.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Produce corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior leadership.
• Prepare deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations.
• Complete VAT returns and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
• Prepare periodic management accounts and management information reporting.
• Ensure statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted within Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
• Act as a key point of contact for client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients with oversight from senior leadership.
• Review work prepared by junior staff and support with training and development where required.

A growing Accountancy Practice is looking to appoint a Client Manager into their St Helens office.

This is an excellent opportunity where you'll work closely with a broad portfolio of SME clients, managing relationships while producing high-quality accounts and tax work, with the opportunity to mentor junior staff and genuinely add value to clients.

Client Manager Responisbilities:

• Prepare year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
• Produce corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior leadership
• Prepare deferred tax calculations and tax reconciliations
• Complete VAT returns and support clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
• Prepare periodic management accounts and management information reporting
• Ensure statutory accounts and corporation tax returns are submitted within Companies House and HMRC deadlines

Client Manager Attributes:

• ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or
• Qualified By Experience (QBE)Minimum
• 5 years' experience within accountancy practice
• (or 8+ years for QBE applicants)Able to prepare a high-quality final set of accounts for Partner review
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and business tax matters
• Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
