Job summary

eps.group services in Stokenchurch is seeking a Portfolio Manager - Accountant to lead a client portfolio and act as the primary adviser. The role blends relationship management with advisory and leadership, offering a path to partner growth within a well-regarded practice.

Based near Stokenchurch with two office sites, you’ll split time across locations and drive client experience with a proactive service model, supported by a dedicated accounts/compliance team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or strong QBE) with solid UK practice experience.
• Experience managing client relationships and a portfolio as lead contact.
• Strong ability to interpret and explain accounts and tax data.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of clients as lead point of contact and trusted adviser.
• Build long-term relationships and provide clear, data-backed answers.
• Support the partner in growing the firm and shaping client service.
• Ensure every client receives best-in-class, proactive service.
• Review work from the team and perform quality checks for clients.
• Mentor and upskill team members to raise standard across the board.
• Identify advisory and planning opportunities to add value beyond compliance.
