Job summary

BC Financial Search Ltd leads an established Leeds accountancy practice seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join on a full-time basis. The role is office-based in Leeds with occasional travel to client premises.

You can be studying towards AAT, already AAT qualified, or qualified by experience, with study support available. The salary is expected to be in the region of £32,000-£40,000, depending on experience, offering broad bookkeeping duties and strong client contact.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping for a range of businesses and sole traders.
• Ability to prepare and submit VAT returns and familiarity with Making Tax Digital.
• Experience supporting clients with accounting needs and producing management information.

Responsibilities

• Complete bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Assist clients with Making Tax Digital requirements and submissions.
• Prepare management accounts for clients.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and reconciliations.
• Work with Xero and QuickBooks to manage client books.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding their bookkeeping needs.
• Occasional travel to client premises when required.
