Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is seeking a confident and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team, handling day-to-day bookkeeping for a range of clients across the region.

You will manage ledgers, VAT returns, reconciliations, and liaise with clients on-site as needed, supporting informed business decisions with accurate financial information.

The role offers UK-wide travel to client sites, a salary of £28,000–£30,000, and opportunities for development in a collaborative, supportive firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a practice environment.
• Strong understanding of VAT principles and bookkeeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, client-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day bookkeeping duties with up-to-date records.
• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, invoices, payments and expenses.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulations.
• Work on-site at client premises across the region.
• Respond to client queries and build professional relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver advisory services.
