Position: Client Bookkeeper
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established accountancy firm set in a beautiful location, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Client Bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional familiar with Quickbooks and Xero, who can efficiently manage VAT returns and provide exceptional client support over the phone.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain client bookkeeping records using Quickbooks and Xero.
2. Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
3. Provide clients with clear, understandable guidance on bookkeeping issues over the telephone.
4. Ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
5. Resolve client queries and issues promptly and professionally.
6. Collaborate with the wider team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper within an accountancy practice.
2. Strong proficiency in Quickbooks and Xero.
3. Solid understanding of VAT returns and related processes.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients.
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
