Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Perform regular bookkeeping duties, including transaction recording and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Liaise with clients to gather financial information and provide updates.
  • Offer financial advice and support to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a large accountancy practice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
