Job description

A leading insurance brokerage is seeking a Client Adviser to join its expanding SME team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a first-class, end-to-end service to SME clients, ensuring each interaction is handled with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality, proactive service to existing and prospective SME clients.
  • Manage the full broking process including new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including Claims and Broking, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Negotiate with insurers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client records and manage invoicing using internal systems.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer leads to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Commit to personal development and maintain relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Qualifications:

  • Cert CII qualified or working towards.

Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance.
  • Proven experience delivering exceptional service in a client-facing role.

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and administrative capabilities.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and insurance software (experience with Acturis is an advantage).
  • Good understanding of broking processes and FCA compliance standards.
