Job summary

CSC is seeking an ambitious accountant to join TheGlobalCapitalMarkets team in London. You will work closely with senior client accountants and management to provide accounting and financial services for capital market transactions.

• Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with some audit experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain general ledger for SPVs, researching transactions and applying accounting treatments.
• Post journal entries and maintain up-to-date records for a portfolio of SPVs.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements including notes under IFRS or local GAAP.
• Liaise with auditors to produce audited financial statements by deadlines.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and client deliverables.
• Resolve technical accounting issues through liaising with all parties.
• Work with the accounting team towards process improvements and efficiencies.
• Gain familiarity with a diverse range of capital markets structures and products.

Yourresponsibilities:

• Settingup/maintainingthegeneralledgerfornew/existingclientsthroughtransactionresearchandassessingtheapplicableaccountingtreatmentforavarietyofSpecialPurposeVehicles(SPV’s)
• ResponsibleforpostingjournalentriesandkeepinguptodateaccountingrecordsforaportfolioofSPVs
• PreparingannualstatutoryfinancialstatementsincludingnotesanddisclosuresunderIFRSorlocalGAAPandincompliancewithrelevantcompanylaw
• Liaisingwithauditorstoproduceauditedfinancialstatementstomeetstatutoryandotherdeadlines
