Job summary

My client, a well established Independent Financial Advisory firm based in central Colchester, is seeking an experienced IFA Administrator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a close, collaborative and hardworking office where everyone supports one another and where high-quality wealth management services are delivered.

You will support advisers with the full end-to-end new business process across a wide range of financial products, including pension and ISA

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience within an IFA firm (essential).
• Strong background in new business processing across a variety of financial products.
• Experience handling cases from start to finish.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative, hardworking environment.

Responsibilities

• Process new business applications for both new and existing clients.
• Manage pension and ISA transfers from initiation to completion.
• Handle trust applications and inheritance tax planning cases.
• Process tax wrapper switches and withdrawals.
• Set up investment income and pension income.
• Manage Letters of Authority and annuity applications.
• Submit applications and ensure accurate completion across systems.
• Track cases and provide updates through to completion.
• Liaise with providers and clients to resolve queries.
• Work with Intelligent Office as the core CRM/database system.
• Operate across client platforms including Aberdeen, Fidelity and Quilter.
• Process fund withdrawals and coordinate client payments.

You will be responsible for supporting advisers with the full end to end new business process, working across a wide range of financial products and services. This is a varied and fast paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys seeing tasks through from start to finish.

Daily duties

• You will process new business applications for both new and existing clients
• You will manage pension and ISA transfers from initiation through to their completion
• You will handle trust applications and inheritance tax planning cases
• You will process tax wrapper switches and withdrawals
• You will set up investment income and pension income
• You will manage Letters of Authority and annuity applications
• You will submit applications and ensure their accurate completion across all systems

• You will liaise with providers and clients to resolve queries
