Crick Primary School is seeking a Clerk to Governors to support the Governing Body, Headteacher, and Senior Leadership Team in ensuring smooth governance and informed decision-making.
You will prepare agendas, take concise minutes, maintain records, and provide confidential administrative support. Meetings occur six times a year in the evening at the school, with flexible follow-up.
Working closely with Governors, the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s governance arrangements and supporting strategic decision-making that helps shape the future of our school.
About the Role
The Clerk to Governors is a vital member of the governance team and will be responsible for:
The Governing Body typically meets six times each year, with meetings held once per half term in the evening at the school. Meeting dates are set well in advance. Aside from these fixed meetings, preparation and follow-up work can be completed flexibly at times that suit you.
Additional ad hoc meetings or duties may arise and will be paid separately at the appropriate hourly rate.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Previous experience as a Clerk to Governors or within a governance, administration or education setting would be desirable, although not essential.
