Job description

We’re looking for a Clerk to the Board of Trustees. You will be an excellent administrator, and fully supported by our friendly and welcoming Board of Trustees. As you grow into the role, you will learn about legal compliance and how to facilitate efficient meetings.

We put people first. As a result, you will be encouraged to grow your knowledge of the justice sector and gain valuable skills and experience. Confidentiality, organisation, and discretion are key to making a success of this role.

You will be joining a team passionate about reducing the risk of re-offending in Devon and Cornwall. We give free, confidential, practical help and emotional support for people going through court and into life beyond. We are free, and independent of the system. We sit down and listen. We build trust and use our knowledge and connections to find solutions to complicated situations. We guide towards positive change and stay by their side for as long as they want us.

We hold the lifetime achievement for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and we’re respected for the impact we make in the lives of the people who come through our door.

This role is funded with an honorarium, plus reasonable expenses.

  • Take accurate meeting minutes
  • Circulate meeting minutes and any relevant Board papers
