An opportunity has arisen within Roads & Infrastructure for the permanent post of Clerk of Works. This post is notionally based at the Council's Headquarters, Waverley Court, but generally this is a site-based post with some office and home-based working.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake this challenging but highly rewarding role. The successful candidate should have an interest in bridges and retaining walls, and inspections; previous experience will be beneficial. The Council has a vast array of over 500 interesting bridges and other structures. You will be part of a team undertaking inspections, and managing and co-ordinating the on-site works associated with Edinburgh's bridges, tunnels, gantries, culverts and retaining walls.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
