Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a friendly Clerical Officer/Typist to join the Paediatric Administration Team within Surgery and NICU. You will provide accurate typing and administrative support to clinicians and the multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

  • Type patient letters relating to clinics in accurate and timely manner and be able to prioritise workload with the support from the Medical Secretaries/Admin manager
  • Locate, request and track hospital notes to the department and Health Records Library and file results and correspondence appropriately
  • Communicate electronically with secretaries regarding actions to be outcomed from typing to ensure 18 week targets are met
  • Update RTT in accordance with Trust guidelines. Assist the Administration and Clerical team with data management utilising PAS and other departmental patient databases
  • Work in line with department guidelines and policies, and offer suggestions for improvements to procedures/policies to support the continual development of the service

As a Clerical Officer/Typist, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the Paediatric Service.
