Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
1x fixed-term post for 12 months, 20 hours per week. The shift pattern is Wednesday to Friday. Salary is Pro Rata for part-time posts.
Responsibilities
- Provide reception/clerical/administrative support to the primary/community care service team as required, working flexibly within agreed procedures and protocols to one or more office bases within the North East Sector.
- Carry out reception duties, data input, record management and general typing.
- Maintain courteous and professional contact with patients, members of the public and staff. Communicate with records officers across NHSGGC and other board areas as required.
- Support the generic functions and duties administered within the wider Business Team section as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Ability to work flexibly within agreed procedures and to operate across one or more office bases.
- Experience or ability to perform reception, data input, record management and general typing tasks.
- Strong communication skills with patients and staff and a courteous, professional manner.
- Ability to work with records and handle sensitive information in line with organisational procedures.
