A leading healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks an administrator to book and manage patient appointments and operate hospital systems. Responsibilities include coordinating with health professionals and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should possess strong communication, time-management skills, and an NVQ3 or equivalent. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care within a busy environment.
Reporting to the lead administrator, you will be part of a team responsible for booking patient appointments, maintaining and using hospital systems (IPM, dashboard, ICE, PENS), monitoring waiting lists, entering data, liaising with health professionals, and dealing efficiently and professionally with all service users and patient enquiries. You will support the specialist nurse team with pre‑investigation and the e‑referral service, take the lead on referrals for outpatient and day‑case endoscopic procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic) and work unsupervised while providing advice to junior members of the team.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their duties and will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) and the Order 2020.
