A public healthcare service in Scotland is seeking a Clerical Officer / Audio Typist for a maternity cover position within the Haematology Team. The role involves clerical duties and audiotyping support. Candidates should possess good communication and organizational skills, and confidentiality is crucial. Working hours are 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting in January 2026.

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Haematology Team at Ninewells Hospital to provide maternity cover for a period of one year from early January 2026. As a part of this team, the post holder will undertake clerical duties and audiotyping as required to support the Haematology Service.
Knowledge of medical terminology would be desirable but not essential. Good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for this position.
Confidentiality will be expected within all aspects of the role.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
