Job description

This is an interesting and exciting opportunity to work with the heart of the NHS in our fast moving Surgical division. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Minute Taker / Clerical Worker to provide high-quality administrative support to our Anaesthetics and Theatres CSU.

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending meetings, producing accurate minutes, and carrying out a range of clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of our Anaesthetics and Theatres CSU.

The role is to cover 21 hours over Monday to Friday, this role will be required to work flexible to cover the days of when meetings take place.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role will be to attend meetings (in person or virtually) and produce clear, concise, and accurate minutes.

  • Prepare agendas, circulate meeting papers, and follow up on action points.
  • Maintain organised filing systems, both digital and paper-based.
  • Provide general administrative support including data entry, photocopying, scanning, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • The post holder will need to have excellent listening, note-taking, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experience in administrative or clerical work is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
