About us The Vale Learning Centre is based in Barry Library and offers free, franchised provision of Essential Skills courses for adults including English, maths and Digital Skills.
We also provide ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses for those looking to improve their English skills for work, family and life.

The Vale Learning Centre is seeking to appoint a friendly and outgoing clerical assistant to support the programme run in our centre at Barry Library.
The applicant will need to be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills.
You will need good technical skills using Excel, Word and Outlook.
An understanding of social media would be advantageous.
You will need: Customer service skills dealing with the public.
Good use of Microsoft Office Work and Excel Sending and receiving emails using outlook.
A clear understanding of data protection requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal) Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Contribute to a positive teamwork environment Empathy with learners.
Ability to respond to changing priorities and demands.
