Job description

The Creative Learning Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint a part-time Clerical Assistant (Term-time only)
Starting September 2026
Overview

We are looking to appoint an organised, friendly and reliable person to join our outstanding team. Greenhall is a Special School for children in the Early Years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We also have a governor-run nursery onsite - Little Learners. A child-centred approach is at the heart of all that we do and we want all children to ‘fly’ in all aspects of school life. We believe effective relationships that provide high support and high challenge are crucial and knowing our children and families well is foundational to this.

The office is an integral part of the school and the person appointed will play a central role in our community - you must be willing to take part in all aspects of school life!

Working under the direction of our Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; dealing with people both in person and on the telephone. As the first contact point for both families and professionals, the ability to welcome and help people in a sensitive, kind and professional way is essential.
  • Warm, welcoming and infectious smile that greets children, families and fellow staff, showing they are loved, special and valued.
  • Confidence using ICT systems and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Good teamwork, building positive relationships with colleagues, parents and pupils.
  • Well organised, efficient and good at multi-tasking.
  • Flexible and willing to turn your hand to whatever the day brings.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for our children, families and wider community.
  • Attention to detail and high standards.
  • Remain calm in difficult situations and not afraid to ask for help when needed.
Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. We are offering the opportunity to work in a school with a committed, welcoming and highly dedicated staff team. We believe in championing our staff to be the best that they can be. Training, support and coaching will be offered to the successful candidate to ensure they are successful in their duties.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service, references and medical clearance.
